Lead Software Engineer Who are City Pantry? At City Pantry, were changing the way people work together. Were working with a world of kitchens, over 600 of the best boutique chefs, street vendors, specialist caterers, iconic restaurants and supper clubs in the UK. What do the Tech Team do? Our Tech team builds and maintains all of the infrastructure and applications responsible for choosing and delivering 10,000+ meals every day. From search engines, menu planning, eater management to integrations with courier APIs, our tools provide seamless ordering experience and help the UKs most influential companies feed their teams better and faster. On the other end of the platform, we create tools that help kitchens build their menus, track orders and improve outreach to maximise their potential. What you'll be doing? You'll be working with the Large Customers Project Team to help us acquire and retain the biggest companies in the UK offering food perks to their teams. We're creating an industry leading product that makes corporate catering a breeze for office managers and enables everyone in large teams to order the food that they will love. You'll be building features like "individual choice", recurring orders and advanced budgeting and help us accelerate our growth. As one of our Lead Engineers, you're also responsible for the continued success and development of our lesser experienced engineering team members. Requirements What youll use daily * Angular, Typescript (and the occasional AngularJS) * PHP, Symfony, MongoDB * Docker, Google Cloud, Github * JIRA, Notion What we are looking for * Strong architectural skills, track record of building large scale web applications * Exceptional knowledge of API and SPA development principles * Demonstrable skills in negotiating product features, technical debt, code quality, prioritisation, etc. * Ideally 7-9+ years experience of hands coding experience at a senior (or lead level) * 2+ years with managing small development teams (4+) Benefits Our benefits are a little different due to being in Lockdown.
