Job Description

Our client is a wealth manager with nearly 3 billion under management. Currently, looking for a paraplanner with around 5 years' or more experience to work for them on their internal private client desk. This desk works with complex private clients and international families, providing an all-encompassing wealth management service designed to simplify and streamline the management of their wealth. The paraplanner's role is to help manage the financial planning aspect such as queries, preparing and implementing recommendations, ongoing client servicing and overseeing the new business process. Principal Tasks and Accountabilities Preparing and maintaining the client file and the new business process Check all account opening paperwork is present and completed correctly Confirm client risk profile is determined Discuss client objectives with relationship manager Preparing recommendations Prepare information/comparisons for analysis by relationship manager Liaise with client's legal and tax advisers (if applicable) Structure Investment Proposals in PowerPoint for presentation to client Prepare draft recommendation reports to be discussed/signed off by relationship manager Implementing recommendations Prepare suitability reports Complete application / proposals forms Ensure all relevant paperwork is in order Ensure all client data is recorded accurately and kept up to date Ongoing client servicing Ensuring clients are using their ISA and pension allowances each year Reviewing existing client arrangements and work with the relationship manager to ensure that clients receive their annual review on time. Specific Regulatory Responsibilities: This position is bound by the FCA Conduct Rules. Competence Requirement/Essential Deep understanding of the Financial Planning process, paraplanning/financial planning qualifications to Level 4 or above Able to work within defined business processes Ability to achieve agreed outcomes with limited supervision; prioritise and plan own workload Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively Good IT skills Good report writing skills, Detailed and accurate Ability to work independently and in a team Desirable Broad knowledge of financial services and investment instruments High level of technical knowledge Liaise with existing and potential clients Please only apply if you have suitable experience and note we will only contact those candidates we believe are suitable.
