Cardiac Health & Rehabilitation Service Charing Cross & St Mary's Hospitals DIETITIAN Band 6 Full time Temporary Post for 12 months starting September 2020 An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced dietitian to become part of the dynamic and proactive Cardiac Health & Rehabilitation team at Imperial Healthcare NHS Trust. The Trust provides an internationally renowned tertiary cardiology and cardiothoracic clinical service and has a strong track record in both clinical and basic sciences research. The Service has been selected as one of the top ten programmes across the UK for the British Heart Foundation / British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation "Celebrating Cardiac Award" For this challenging and fulfilling post we are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with sound knowledge and understanding of the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease Our programme provides care to patients who have been discharged from hospital and are participating in the cardiac health and rehabilitation programme. It includes patients with cardiac disease, heart failure as well as those with ICDs. You will be a Registered Dietitian with relevant clinical experience within cardiology services. You will need to demonstrate experience in delivering cardiac prevention and rehabilitation, although you do not need to have worked within a cardiac rehabilitation service. You will need to be very enthusiastic about this area of work as well as being self motivated, possess good organisational skills, and be able to work alone and as part of a team. In conjunction with the multi-skilled team you will be responsible for providing expert clinical practice. The post holder will also act as a resource to other professionals on cardiovascular disease and associated treatments and issues. You will be taking part in ongoing audit and research activities to maintain quality care provision. Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will need to be committed to sharing of good practice, development of robust professional networks and support of colleagues.
