Role Overview As part of the Social Innovation team, you will work with a pan-European multidisciplinary team of experts from both the business and tech innovation side to further our business activities in AI and other digital, cutting-edge solutions with clients in our mobility area with a particular focus on Rail. Working collaboratively with diverse Hitachi teams, clients and prospects to understand business needs and to demonstrate how our solutions can support their key business challenges on a global basis. You will maintain and have ownership of your sales pipeline and provide support to our clients during the bidding and sales process to ensure delivery of these digital solutions. Main Tasks & Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Works closely with other business development professionals and teams across the relevant Hitachi Global Business Units to identify and build a pipeline of clients / propositions * Be able to present the technical vision and strategy of the solution offering to all levels across the client internally and externally e.g. technical or business leads * Own the delivery of briefings and presentations for solutions and/products for external and internal clients/partners including the production of relevant information/decks * Conducts market research; answers questions, and helps to handle objections that arise during the sales process * Works closely with Hitachi development teams on proposition development solutions that meet the technology and business requirements of clients * Maintain product/solution expertise of market trends in aligned technology including understanding our competitors * Anticipates technology and/or market trends and provides guidance and feedback to the business * Qualifies sales opportunities in terms of client requirements, competition and decision-making processes * Successfully builds relationships with business stakeholders, partners and clients in support of sales objectives * Engage in social media/digital marketing awareness efforts around Hitachi Social Innovation Business solutions, product portfolio and thought leadership when required Skills & Competencies Required * Bachelor's Degree and/or Masters, preferably in Business or a Technical subject * Experience of working in mobility domain with emphasis on Rail * Seasoned and practised global business development experience is required * Ability to understand strategic client needs, industry value levers etc - and how digital solutions can drive performance. * A passion for customer service and relationship building * Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, constantly changing, results-driven work environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Technical aptitude to understand Hitachi Social Innovation Business solutions * An ability to communicate technical information to non-technical staff in a way that is easy to understand. * Previous experience working for a competitor in a similar position would be a strong advantage. * Embraces a culture of trust, free thought and complete transparency * Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational * Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive * Big picture thinking * Works well under pressure * Critical thinking * Strong relationship building skills Benefits Package Company Funded Benefits * Market competitive salary and discretionary bonus scheme * Generous holiday entitlement - with the option to buy up to an additional 8 days per year * A Holiday Banking scheme allowing you to bank untaken holiday to use another year * Group Personal Pension * Private Medical Insurance with self-funded option to cover family members * Employee Assistance Programme available to all employees * Personal Accident Insurance
