DevOps Engineer - 60,000 to 90,000 - North UK We are one of the largest, multinational investment banks in the entire world who specialise in financial services, personal/ corporate banking and wealth management. Our chief security office (CSO) ensures the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the firm's assets, implementing world class security solutions. We've already implemented a strong protection for our business, but we need to adapt to the rapid change in the cyber arena. We need expert DevOps Engineers to ensure we detect security alerts quickly, then react, respond and recover. As the DevOps Lead, you will be required to design, build, operate and maintain robust hosting and pipeline solutions to support software delivery in the CSO, ensuring we standardise the patterns we use for any tooling whilst also ensuring other tools (cyber specific) are managed accordingly. You'll develop and improve DevOps solutions function wide, perform hands on DevOps work, as well as leading a small team of engineers to enforce technical methodology. Our team maintains and continually develops a CI/CD pipeline and other associated tooling to help manage a large estate of containers running in Open Shift. Working within the DevOps team you will define the strategic direction of the platform whilst working with architects and system designers to define high-level solutions. You'll also be creating DevOps scripts, supporting monitoring tools integration as well automating where possible through the use of various technologies. Exposure to a range of DevOps tools is essential to be able to excel in this role: * Outstanding RedHat/ Open Shift skills * Excellent Jenkins and Chef exposure (build delivery automation pipelines and deploy / make configuration changes) * Container experience with Docker/ Kubernetes * AWS exposure essential and detailed development level (Lambda Code, EC2, VCP) * Excellent coding ability in Java, Python, Shell, Bash etc * Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills * Leadership/ mentoring experience Everything we do is shaped by the five values of Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence and Stewardship.
