Overview
This opportunity for an Elasticsearch Hadoop DevOps professional, based at our Head Office at Axis Business Park, Liverpool, reports directly to our Chief Information Security Officer. This role implements data pipeline solutions, installs and configures production solutions and is responsible for stakeholder management, data analysis, producing dashboards, MI and KPIs. Job Description £55,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience 5.6 weeks paid holiday per year including bank and public holiday allowance rising to 6.6 weeks upon 5 years' service Contributable Company pension scheme 10% store discount Onsite subsidised Health and Fitness Centre Onsite subsidised canteen Access to social and sporting events Job Overview Implement data pipeline solutions using ELK development stack Install, configure and maintain existing and new production solutions with KAFKA, ELK and Hadoop (Hortonworks) Participate in the on-call rota Solve technical problems and incidents Oversee monitoring and alerting solutions Create data ingestion pipelines, visualisations, data store and alerting on the data Install, upgrade and maintain Big Data Clusters Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal systems and practices Minimum Criteria To Apply A customer-focused and can-do attitude System Analytical thinking Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional integrity Current experience with Elasticsearch and KAFKA (or similar) Extensive experience in writing data ingestion pipelines using Logstash or Nifi Minimum 4 years' experience working in IT, specifically in Hadoop Eco Extensive experience working on Hortonworks Hadoop Distribution is preferable About The Company TJ Morris Limited trading as Home Bargains is a privately owned family run discount retailer selling top brands at the lowest possible price on the UK high street.
