Job Description

Cloud Server Support Team Leader This is a technical role that has two distinct parts: * Manage a small team of hosted support engineers to provide 1st line support for our Cloud servers and Remote Backup products [CloudBerry and Veeam]. You will be dealing with a growing number of clients and providing initial support to ensure smooth operation with any serious matters escalated to our cloud hosting partners. This is an area of the business that is growing rapidly so both your role and your team will grow accordingly. * Help to manage and design our 'Dashboard' reporting system, developed by the same team, using our EMIR product data [with Codeless/Orbis] Task Centre and Microsoft's Power Bi. Essentially, Task Centre will be used to write data extraction queries in a form that can be directly turned into useful and changing key business information in a graphical and informative format via Power Bi. Ideal candidate The ideal candidate will be at least 'A' level educated with a knowledge of basic Windows Server Administrative tasks, such as creating users, configuring Outlook 365 Email accounts, managing remote backup applications and checking Server Logs and the knowledge of how to stop and start services, install software, etc. Any knowledge of SQL, databases queries and graphical reporting will be an advantage. As team management will be an important and growing part of the role, any experience in heading up cloud server projects or managing teams would be an advantage, but the willingness to take on the responsibility and want to manage a team are equally as important. We are a process driven company and it is important you can follow and help improve our processes for support and development. Previous work experience in an IT customer support role is important along with a cool head, positive phone manner, excellent communication skills and a customer care philosophy. You need to be organised and hard-working and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that our service runs smoothly. Salary and Benefits Depending on skills and experience, circa £22,000 to £25,000 starting salary. 23 days holiday per annum in addition to public holidays. Working hours typically 9 to 5 Monday to Friday. By applying for this role, your details will be sent to Ortolan People, who are acting as consultants for the hiring company. Ortolan People are engaged to provide recruitment support in processing applications. We will endeavour to respond to all applicants within three working days. Occasionally for roles with a very high volume of applicants, this may not be possible.
