Our client is looking for Information Security Cloud Officer
The duties to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:
Manages Cloud Resources, including virtual machines, storage accounts, and network components, ensuring they meet the specific requirements of different projects and applications.
Ensures Security and Compliance by implementing and managing security policies and practices to protect cloud-based systems and data from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Ensures cloud environments comply with industry regulations such as GDPR, PCI-DSS, and others relevant to the financial sector.
Monitors cloud resources for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency. Analyzes metrics to identify and resolve issues, optimize resource utilization, and improve system performance to support operational objectives.
Conforms the Cloud resources to the BCP policy to maintain disaster recovery strategies, ensuring data backup procedures are in place to minimize downtime and data loss in case of system failures or cyber-attacks. Ensures these plans are regularly tested and updated according to changing requirements and threats.
Manages cloud expenditure to ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets. Implements cost-saving measures such as identifying underutilized resources, choosing cost-effective service options, and leveraging reserved instances or savings plans.
Works with the Systems Administration team to guarantee cloud access controls and identity management systems to ensure only authorized personnel can access specific cloud resources. Implements role-based access control (RBAC) policies and maintains secure authentication methods.
Provides technical support for cloud-related issues to other the Service Delivery Team. Acts as a consultant on cloud technologies, advising on best practices for cloud adoption, application deployment, and infrastructure design.
Ensures that the institution's cloud infrastructure is scalable, secure, and effectively supports its operational and financial applications.
Reviews industry cloud trends to report to the Manager – Information Security of potential issues.
Works closely with other IT teams, such as Networks, Service Delivery, and Application Development to ensure that cloud infrastructure supports the organization's technological needs.
Requirements:
A minimum first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required.
A certification in at least one of the following: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security – Specialty, or an equivalent cloud certification in Azure Security Engineer or Google Cloud Professional Security Engineer.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a cybersecurity role within the financial services industry, with a focus on cloud security.
Thorough understanding of cloud security architectures, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in cloud security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, SIEM systems, and vulnerability management tools.
Advanced knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automating cloud operations and security tasks.
Strong analytical skills to assess and mitigate risks in cloud environments.
Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving cloud security issues.
