Job Description

A thriving manufacturing business based within the local area have an opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to work in a busy and fast paced environment. As the Maintenance Electrician you will be working within the maintenance function, supporting projects and modifications to plant. Responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical, instruments and control equipment site. Job Description: * As the Maintenance Electrician you will be fault finding root cause analysis of electrical process control and instrumentation systems. * Installation of new electrical process control and instrumentation systems to current standards. * As the Maintenance Electrician you will be fault finding in electrical control and safety system relay logic systems. * Provide maintenance breakdown cover outside normal hours on a rostered call out system (1 week in 4). * Able to contribute towards the continuous improvement of the engineering team and the business as a whole. * As the Maintenance Electrician you will be fault finding and maintenance on LV electrical distribution and drive systems. * Inspection and testing of electrical systems (industrial, hazardous area, office/domestic) in compliance with company standards and legislation. * The role of the Maintenance Electrician will include the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repair, calibration and testing of level, flow, pressure, temperature, analytical and control valve equipment. * Control systems on which you may work are typically either part of the DCS or local controllers, both of which require knowledge of control loop and control logic. Candidate Requirements: Essential: * Recognised apprenticeship * NVQ Level 3 or equivalent * HNC in either electrical or instrumentation discipline * IEE Regulations 17th edition * City & Guilds 239 Inspection & Testing * CompEX hazardous area inspection * Understanding of wiring diagrams * Previous experience in an industrial environment as an Electrician or Instrument Technician * To have been operating within an industrial electrical/instrumentation environment with experience in planned, preventative maintenance * Experience of statutory testing of industrial electrical installations * Experience of hazardous area electrical systems Desirable: * HNC in either electrical or instrumentation discipline * IEE Regulations 17th edition * City & Guilds 239 Inspection & Testing * CompEX hazardous area inspection * Understanding of wiring diagrams * Previous experience in an industrial environment as an Electrician or Instrument Technician * To have been operating within an industrial electrical/instrumentation environment with experience in planned, preventative maintenance * Experience of statutory testing of industrial electrical installations * Experience of hazardous area electrical systems Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 4:15pm with 45 minutes for lunch On call one in four weeks for a week - this is included in the salary Salary: 30,000 per annum Brampton Recruitment are an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
