Company Description Home Instead Senior Care is the world's leading provider of non-medical care and companionship services for older people. With minimum visits of one hour, award winning training and an excellent reputation we are immensely proud of the quality of care we provide. We match our CAREGivers to our clients based on mutual interests and hobbies to help build bonds of trust and enables us to provide personalised support. We do require our CAREGivers to have transport to enable you to visit clients in locations that are poorly serviced by public transport. Job Description The current crisis has taught me that there are very few 'jobs for life' , unless you work in the emergency services or related fields then all jobs are at risk whether you are a banker, pilot, or builder. Although, the 'profession' of CAREGiving will always be a necessity, that is why we are looking for people who want to make it their career. We are living in very challenging times so we are looking for people who can face these challenges head on and make a difference in the community by CAREGiving for the most vulnerable people. To do it well you need to be a special sort of person, you need to have an abundance of common sense, a big smile and a soft heart tinged with a very practical outlook on life. You need to be responsible, reassuring and unflappable, because you will be making a big difference to someone's life and that should not be taken lightly. We are looking for people who can work a mixture of shifts each week between 8.00am-2.00pm and 4.00pm-10.00pm the actual times are not set in stone, we can be flexible too, but we do require you to be able to cover some shifts on alternate week-ends. You must also have your own transport to enable you to get to clients who may live in out of the way places not well serviced by public transport. If you are looking to commence a career but cannot devote 40 hours a week at the moment, for whatever reason, then we will be happy to speak with you, if you are the calibre we are looking for then we will work flexibly with you to enable you to progress and join our very happy team. Qualifications Very good clear spoken communication skills, this is essential because some of our clients have dementia and hearing loss and can struggle to understand. In addition you must be a driver with your own transport, to enable you to get to the clients but also to enable you to take them to social events, shopping, doctors appointments, whatever is needed. You must also have a desire to succeed and be the very best CAREGiver you can be, once we have that material to work with we can work magic with our award winning training.
