Engineering Manager / Heavy Industry, Complex Machinery. Are you a hands on Engineering/maintenance Manager who strives for Excellence? Are you the kind of Leader who wants to fix something properly, once as opposed to short term fixes again and again? Do you want autonomy, freedom and responsibility to make things happen? The role will be ultimately be managing the Maintenance Department and ensuring production is as efficient as possible. From induction it'd be expecting you get stuck in and throw yourself in at the deep end to understand how the machines operate, understand your team with a view to making improvements and changes to processes in the medium term. You'll need plenty of energy and determination and a real passion for engineering. You'll have had a successful career up to now having been a Manager for a few years at least. A hands on engineer before that. Ideally you'll have PLC knowledge (Basic Fault finding, inputs/outputs at least). You'll need to be a strong leader and manager of various different engineers.
