Job Description As Facility Assistant you'll be responsible for ensuring that the SGS Glasgow site is maintained to provide a work environment that meets Company and legislative requirements. You'll provide the support required to maintain the facility and essential plant in good order, including any required assistance to sub-contractor engineers when on site. Key Accountabilities; * Perform facility cleaning and housekeeping duties, laboratories, stores and access corridors and maintain appropriate records as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). * Perform laboratory temperature checks and record on SOP forms, and laboratory air pressure checks, changing of gas cylinders and any other ancillary work when required. * Carry out laboratory sink sanitising. * Provide back up support on fire detection tests as required and record dates and times of all activities. Reporting any faults, out of specification issues etc. to facility management. * Provide regular updates to relevant management, for example: on the general cleanliness within a department. * Perform a degree of basic electrical, plumbing and joinery maintenance within the facility, report repairs to management and, when required, log events in the Equipment database. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need strong communication and organisational skills, plus a willingness to partake in appropriate internal and external training to gain related skills.
