Job Description
Description DevSecOps Engineer Contino work with some of the world's leading enterprise organisations in adopting DevOps. We are heavily engaged with across multiple household names in the financial services, telecoms, retail and eCommerce industries in helping them deliver software quicker and innovative at pace. A Principal Consultant at Contino wears many hats, you're not only highly technical across a wider range of technologies, practices and possibly disciplines; but you're also a driver of influence internally and within customers, you possess the ability to lead effectively and you're able to come up with innovative (but justifiable) ways of evolving the technical environments. You'll be pivotal in knowledge sharing internally within the business, assisting other Principals in their assigned projects and where necessary ensuring more junior members of Contino have exposure to your abilities. When you are not delivering outstanding value to our clients, you will have the chance to provide thought leadership to the technical communities to help build awareness around the best practices we are looking to implement. You will be supported by the internal marketing team and you will have the opportunity to speak at meetups, run podcasts, write blogs, which will enable you to stand out as a leader in the space. Requirements * Unrivalled experience of consulting, communicating and influencing team members, internal stakeholders (C-level down) and the Contino business ensuring an 'always forward' progressive movement within the project. * Continue to expand the business within the customer for Contino by networking internally and using collaborative approaches. * Utilise Agile methodologies and DevOps/DevSecOps practices to curate and progress the project and involve internal and Contino teams. * Ability to steer multiple projects and multiple stakeholders in the same direction to ensure successful completion of target goals. * Solid technical background/understanding in DevOps, DevSecOps, Software Engineering and Infrastructure Engineering so that you're able to understand high level technical briefs, talks and ideas. * Demonstrable knolwedge of some of the following; Full Stack Applications, Containerised environments, micro-serviced architectures and understanding what enterprise architecture 'looks like' and why it should change (also how it would change) * Deep understanding and exposure to DevSecOps and able to communicate on what it is, where and how its used and how it has progressed over time. * Up to date with technological advancements in the software engineering space and/or DevOps space. * Ideally experience working in both Enterprise organisations and smaller/start-up companies (but not essential) * Technical programme/project management with solid technical experience. * Client facing and client management experience (consultancy background ideally) * Strong communicator in the English language at both a technical and non-technical capacity. Knowledge across as many of these technologies/skills as possible: * DevSecOps/Application Security/Cloud Security * Linux and/or Windows systems engineering. * Configuration Management with Ansible, Chef or Puppet. * Containerisation with Docker or Kubernetes. * Cloud experience with AWS. * Continuous Integration with Jenkins or similar. * Consulting within enterprise and the ability to deliver projects. * Leadership and Management experience. * Full Stack software development including TDD/BDD. * DevOps practices and methods. * Agile methodologies. * Java, Python or similar programming experience.
