Company Description Junior Business Development Paid Intern (3 months then permanent @ London FinTech) About Expend We're a fast-growing London-based FinTech startup (Top 100 Britain's Fastest-Growing Businesses). Our product simplifies the painful business expenses process with a unique software platform, smart company card, and payment solutions. We save companies time, hassle and money, which provides them a new level of expense automation and efficient control over budgets and employee spending. We are working in a huge sector mainly dominated by big businesses using outdated approaches. It is in massive need of change and we aim to revolutionise the space. We're an ambitious team and have set ourselves a number of goals, but our first challenge is to revolutionise business expenses. Job Description Overview We are looking for a future rockstar! This role will be working closely with a team of driven Business Development Managers who will be utilising your work to drive revenues for the business! Expend is a fast-moving business, and you'll be learning a lot as you will collaborate with marketing, operations and sales, always keeping your eyes on growth. Generally, your role will be focussed around discovering and researching new clients, building your network and brand within the space. There will be scope to attend industry events, increasing your exposure to a variety of networks. We're focused on growth, so you'll be forward-thinking and hard-working, with ambitions for promotion. Our sales team operate in a true meritocracy, so the more you put in, the more you get out! Qualifications The "ideal" candidate: * Previous experience in a customer-facing role * Desire to work to and exceed targets * Personable, with strong communication skills * Passionate, fun and have the entrepreneurial flair to build your own client base * Comfortable speaking on the phone and face-to-face with senior stakeholders * Ability to build rapport with potential new clients as well as strong relationships internally * Desire to succeed and improve your skills * High proficiency in English * Ability to pick up new IT systems quickly Additional Information Benefits This is a paid internship, with a view for you to become a permanent member of staff at the end of the 3 month period. Once you have moved into a permanent position, alongside a competitive salary, there will be incentives based on performance, including commission for your hard work. Our office is based in an amazing vibrant space in Finsbury Square, Moorgate. Given the fast pace of a growing technology company, there will be opportunities to perform other suitable work dependent on skills (we actively promote employees to broaden their skill set).
