Job Description
UWE Bristol currently has approximately 7000 students studying at International partners located across Europe, South East and South Asia. As an institution it is continuing to grow and develop its international partnerships. Students at our partners achieve UWE Bristol degree qualifications upon completion of their studies. The University is responsible for assuring the quality and standards of all of the qualifications that it awards including those that are attained at International partners. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team focused on supporting the delivery of programmes to our international partners. About the role The role of International Partnerships Team Leader is fast paced and diverse. We are therefore seeking someone who thrives in this environment. As Team Leader you are integral to overseeing the administration of partner student records and the completion of quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for the day to day line management of individuals ensuring that they are appropriately developed to carry out their roles to a high standard, whilst maintaining oversight of the International Partnerships administration team as a whole ensuring that the team works together to meet its short and long term objectives. About you The ability to build effective working relationships and work as part of a team with a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise is a key skill. You will be required to work with people across different areas of the University as well as with those based at our partner institutions providing advice and guidance as required. Excellent prioritisation is an essential ability as you will be required to manage multiple (and at times conflicting) tasks throughout the academic year. You will need to be able to work flexibly and respond appropriately to changing priorities and unexpected eventualities. You should possess effective planning and organisation skills being able to look ahead and make preparations and provision for upcoming tasks for which you and the team are responsible for. You should be a strong communicator being capable of providing clear explanation of administrative processes and academic regulations along with rationale for decisions made concerning these both orally and in writing. You will be expected to represent the Partnership administration team in University wide working groups focused on continuous improvement of the student experience. Further information This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part time. Successful applicants will be invited to an initial interview taking place on either the 5th, 6th or 7th of November. At this stage applicants will be asked to complete a short inbox exercise and give a presentation lasting no more than 10 minutes. Applicants that progress beyond this stage will be invited to attend a second question and answer interview in the week commencing 25th of November. This post does not qualify for sponsorship under the UK Visas and Immigration Tier 2 points based system therefore we would not be able to obtain a tier 2 Biometric Residence Permit and would be unable to sponsor anyone who does not have their own right to workin the UK. Please refer to the Home Office Right to Work Checklist,which provides details of which documents are acceptable. Should you be shortlisted you will be asked to bring your right to work documents with you to your interview so they can be copied and verified at that stage.
