Having reviewed the staffing and skill mix at Chailey Clinical Services (CCS) we are looking for an experienced, motivated and highly skilled leader for a fixed term or secondment period of 12-18 months to help implement, embed and develop the new nursing skill mix across CCS which includes a range of brand new Clinical Nurse Lead posts. This is a specialist senior clinical nursing role managing highly complex care for children and young people across the range of bed-based and school nursing services at CCS. The post holder will play a key role in providing vision and inspirational professional leadership to our 24/7 care delivery, including advanced professional clinical nursing advice and consultancy. The post holder will work closely with the Matron, the Head of Service for Children and Young People's Specialist and Community Care and the General Manager, to ensure the delivery of quality care. They will be responsible and accountable for the direct delivery of nursing care within the services, ensuring effective professional nursing leadership and proactive resource management. The post holder will work at least 40% of the time clinically across the services at CCS. The post holder will work with the nursing team leads, the clinical leads and the wider CCS Senior Management Team (SMT) to support strategically within relevant education, social services, health and charitable organisations, to ensure that a holistic and inclusive approach is taken for children and young people with complex neuro-disabilities. As an advanced clinical practitioner, the post holder will be expected to create an environment of continuous quality improvement, developing clinical practice and ensuring that delivery of care is regularly reviewed, embedding the CQC agenda.
