About the role: * Providing a robust regulatory environment, maintaining regulatory standards and being the point of contact with the FCA, ICO and other regulatory bodies * Developing and maintaining continuous strong enterprise risk management framework as well as an annual compliance work plan * Preparing and presenting clear and concise compliance reports to the executive team and external regulatory bodies as needed * Identifying emerging risks that present new regulatory, fraud, or operational risks * Assisting in the development and monitoring of key risk indicators to determine elevations in risk and proactively implementing risk mitigation measures * Ensuring that we are compliant with all necessary regulatory bodies and that approval is sought when needed for all current and new products and services * Ensuring that compliance programs throughout the company are effective and efficient in identifying, preventing, detecting, and correcting noncompliance with applicable laws and regulations, including proper auditing and reporting functions * Regularly auditing Company's operations, products, procedures, practices, and documents, including quality assurance, quality control, and periodic reviews of departments to identify possible weaknesses or risks * Developing, challenging and implementing key compliance policies with regards to the issuance of electronic money and other relevant regulations * Collecting and analysing risk information from source systems, departments * Managing investigations related to breaches or errors within compliance * Establishing and enforcing of the three lines of defence * Setting up and chairing the internal risk committee regularly reviewing processes and establishing sufficient controls * Maintaining oversight of compliance across all business operations * Providing leadership and management to the current and future compliance team to ensure internal and global compliance Requirements As a perfect candidate, you should bring with you: * A minimum of 6 years experience in Compliance within a Financial Services Environment * Professional certification in compliance, risk management or internal audit is highly desirable (CIA, CRMA or equivalent) * At least Bachelors degree in law, finance, business management or a related field * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels * Highly-analytical with strong attention to detail * Ability to balance multiple priorities, demonstrating good organisational and leadership skills * Excellent written and oral English Benefits Benefits of working at Monese: * Ample opportunity for personal growth at one of the leading tech startups in Europe * A flat structure with open communication where everyone has a voice * Impactful work you will help to build a product that is used by millions of people across the world * High degree of autonomy in a motivated and talented international team * Opportunity to travel between our offices and meet other teams as well * A stack of modern technologies * Generous stock options and competitive salary * Learning and development support scheme * Flexible working hours and possibility to work from home from time to time * Many fun team events, office parties and sports activities to spend some quality time with your colleagues * Dog-friendly office in city centre with plenty of perks, snacks and drinks * 25 days of holidays plus 8 bank holidays - we believe in work and life balance * Monese VIP account Sounds like something for you?
