We are looking for a talented Technical Architect to join our Digital Architecture team, working with the Web Applications Technical Architects to own and shape the web application architecture strategy and roadmap, including eShop, VOXI, TOBi chatbot and business portals. The remit of the Web Application Technical Architect involves ensuring that web application architecture continues to be aligned with the AWS well-architected framework, while meeting and delivering business needs. You will be working together with the Technical Architects to define the roadmap based on input and alignment with business stakeholders. From a technology perspective you are expected to align with Enterprise IT and collaborate with the Digital Solution Architects as well as the Product Engineering teams to ensure the delivery of the roadmap. Who will you be doing? * Establishing an architecture roadmap setting the direction for next 3 years. The objective is to steer planned technical upgrades, capacity uplifts, system rationalisation and decommissioning through functional convergence in conjunction with broader technology stack evolution. The end result is continuous improvements measuring the 'technical health' of the web applications domain. * Ensuring compliance to the target architecture and architecture principles by leading assurance activities through the development lifecycle, as well as collaborating with Solution Architects and reviewing solution designs. * Challenging upstream requirements, as well as design and development activities to drive out of the box application capabilities, infrastructure longevity for at least 18 months, simplicity and cost effectiveness. * Establishing yourself as the technical and functional point of contact for the web applications domain, supporting planned releases and major incidents. Provide direction and guidance to solution architects, developers and other technical staff. * You will have a background of working within micro-services architecture * Possess a demonstrable hands-on background with development of RESTful APIs * Knowledge of React ideal * Experience of working with cloud solutions, ideally AWS * Knowledgeable in Security aspects and SAFE Agile certified or extensive experience working in a scaled Scrum or Kanban environment.
