Head of Engineering Set the technical vision and the commercial strategy. As well as possessing the drive to lead, motivate, and inspire a team in electrification. The role: Entrepreneurial and innovative business leader with vision and the ability to set commercial strategy. Extremely flexible and resourceful in managing change and developing new markets. This is a wide ranging strategic role, with a focus on growing the business . Main Responsibilities Technology Leader for design, development and delivery of innovative world class electro-mechanical drives. Technical vision and commercial strategy to drive the business forward. Automotive, Aerospace and Energy sectors. electro-mechanical systems, including - drive and power systems, controls, electrical systems, electric motors, and gearboxes. Management of Design Engineers Commercial (Business Development, Key Accounts, P&L) Develop a global business model, strategic partnerships and joint ventures. Experience Required Mechanical or electrical engineering background & degree. Technical leader & manager of design engineers Design of electro-mechanical systems: Drive & power systems, controls, electrical systems, electric motors and/ or gearboxes. Demonstrate global, multi-disciplined project team management experience. Highly driven and self-motivated, with an ability to deliver results within tight deadlines. Preferable 8+ years in a technology environment, ideally from combined product and service business Further Degree /Professional qualification Experience of working in Asia (ideally China or India) Business Growth: Business Development, New Product Introduction, Account Management Electric Vehicle or complex Electro-Mechanical Systems knowledge.
