Job Description
The Disabilities Trust is Hiring We're looking for Bank Rehabilitation Support Workers to work at our services in Blackpool. We need motivated and enthusiastic individuals who will strive to deliver the best possible service for our service users. The Disabilities Trust offers specialist care and innovative support for adults who have an acquired brain injury. The services offer continuing rehabilitation and provides programmes including educational and therapeutic sessions, personal, social and domestic skills, guided leisure time, behavioural management, community access and vocational training and support. Main duties will include: * Providing care and support to service users with brain injury * Involved in activities and trips out in the community * Create care plans and risk assessments * Assist in daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning and activities * Promote independence and positivity * Work towards achieving service user's goals and aspirations Skills/Experience required: * Previous experience of working within a care/support environment * Excellent communication skills (written and oral) * Good IT skills * Good time management * Ability to prioritise own workload * Patience and resilience Benefits include: * 8.74 per hour + 1 extra p/h on weekends/bank holidays * Group Life assurance * Employer pension contribution * Eye voucher scheme * Long service and staff awards * Nationwide staff benefits such as Perk Box and discounted gym membership.
