Requirements As a Multi-trade Operative, you will carry out a wide range of maintenance works in our occupied and unoccupied properties. As well as being highly skilled in either plumbing or carpentry with strong skills in a secondary trade, you will need to be competent in at least one of tiling, plastering, fencing and ground works. As part of our Repairs Field Team you will be customer facing, knowledgeable and capable with high standards of workmanship. You will also have exceptional organisational skills, be self-motivated, reliable and prompt. It would be advantageous to be experienced in using a PDA to receive, manage and update your daily jobs. You will be able to work without supervision and have experience of identifying the most cost-effective way to repair a fault, including estimating how long it will take to complete, ordering of materials through to job completion. You will have a trades background. Additional Information: Thrive Homes will supply PPE, a stocked van, and power tools. The van cannot be used outside of work other than for travel from home. You will participate in an out of hours rota, typically one week in seven, for which there is additional payment Out of Hours will be 1 in 9 weeks In addition to your technical skills you will be fluent in English and able to easily engage with a variety of people at all levels. You must have a full clean driving licence.
