Job Description We have an exciting opportunity for a Facade Consultant to join our London office. This role will report to the Regional Manager - UK and will you will be involved in a range of large scale curtain wall projects from concept stage to completion. You will also work with a variety of clients, including well known architects, builders and developers and assist in the design and delivery of memorable, awe-inspiring buildings. About the Role The role includes: * Contribute to the design and engineering of curtain wall and cladding systems, as well as specialty systems (i.e. structural glass, cables, ETFE etc.) * Understanding of design and build-ability of facade systems including material knowledge and installation techniques * Coordinate with other project consultants such as Architects and Builders to determine best practice facade design outcomes * Provide hand design sketches, develop reports for all stages of the project from conception to completion * Preparation of fee proposals * Write specifications and respond to site and construction related queries * Assist and coordinate with other members of the consulting team in the preparation of project deliverables * Provide assistance during construction of facade systems including attendance mock-up testing, shop drawing reviews and conduct factory & site inspections * Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members Qualifications Skills and Experience * Master degree in Architecture (or 5 year equivalent) or Bachelor degree in Civil / Structural Engineering * Significant experience working in the construction industry * Extensive familiarity with facade systems, facade design, materials and fabrication / manufacture * Excellent communications skills both written and verbal * Ability to hand sketch for presentation purposes * Client and team focused * Knowledge of relevant standards and codes for facades and services * Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines * Planning and organisational skills * Be flexible to meet varied demands of the role Additional Information Please upload your Resume, Cover Letter and any other supporting documentation where asked within your application.
