Job Description
We are looking for a passionate Marketing & Communications Assistant in this entry level position supporting a small creative team. You will need to be a self-starter and have a keen interest in internal communications and engagement. HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Care services to 3.5 million patients across a range of counties and as an innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise. Job Purpose: You will play an essential part supporting a small team leading on the communications activities within a 24/7 geographically widespread organisation. You will be responsible for the day to day management of our social media channels, intranet and internal newsletters as well as supporting on a range of other activities. Reporting to the Senior Marketing and Communications Officer, this role is ideal for a recent university graduate or new starter setting out in Communications and Marketing. You will need to have a keen eye for detail, be interested in learning new skills quickly and have a hands-on approach. You will be responsible for the implementing of internal communications campaigns, social media strategies and planning and hosting of events. You will also be providing administrative support for the Communications team, including answering calls. This is a part-time opportunity and a great place to learn and grow in your professional confidence. Skills we are looking for: * Strong IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Strong communications skills, immaculate grammar and spelling * Design experience would be advantageous * English and Maths GCSE at C or above * Proficient in Social Media channels * Previous experience of using CMS * Good ideas generator * Well organised, efficient and able to multi-task * Positive can-do attitude, willing to go the extra mile * An understanding of Marketing and Communications demands * A keen interest in the healthcare sector and the patient experience * Driver with access to a vehicle to enable travel to other HUC locations Benefits: We offer benefits that mirror those in the NHS, including membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, NHS discounts through Blue Light Card and access to the 'Perkbox' staff benefit scheme as well as access to Employee Assistance Programme offering 24/7 support to employees.
