Fin Ops Credit Control Technician - 6 month secondment / fixed term contract - (P/T, job-share or F/T) Location: Fareham The opportunity: An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our credit control team based in Fareham. You will be supporting delivery of operational objectives. Helping implement plans and monitoring of tasks/activities to meet operational targets and to ensure we deliver a high quality and cost effective service. This role is available part-time, job-share or full time. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren't available full-time. Key Responsibilities: * Takes actions as part of UK team to help drive delivery of operational objectives, and targets to maximise productivity, quality and service standards across teams in UK and India. * Demonstrates knowledge of processes and procedures relevant to the function and takes a proactive role in improving efficiency. * Provides insight to enable informed business decisions. * Supports projects, working closely with others to deliver added value. * Promotes positive customer perception. * Supports implementation of strategic plans and/or contingency plans. * Assists delivery of requirements in respect of compliant ICFR control environment. * Manages stakeholders within the business and maintains good relationships. * Problem solver who provides high level support to the offshore team. Your skills and experience: * Institute of Credit Management (ICM) on-going study or qualification desired but not essential. * Experience within a Finance Operations function or a relevant business context. * Knowledge of the relevant business area systems, processes and procedures. * Knowledge of relevant industry practice. * Good knowledge of relevant technology including insurance industry systems and software. * Understanding of the UK General Insurance market. * Knowledge of financial services legislation, regulation and accounting practices.
