Job Description
Amazon's Global Logistics is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical, innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Sr. Manager to oversee the EU Imports business. The candidate will have a successful background of operating/scaling high-growth business with corresponding team leadership experience to own and execute strategic, cross-functional projects and Operations oversight. Candidate will develop the operational and execution strategy for destination activities that include Drayage, Linehaul, Direct to FC network and trans load operations. This role requires working with internal and external stakeholders to manage the destination operations for all of the EU imports network. Key areas of focus will include Developing and executing the strategic roadmap for the inbound of import freight into the EU Customer Fulfillment network (EU CF), ensuring that long-term topology and transportation design take into account the AGL growth ambitions and projections. -help develop and build effective imports products and solutions for various transportation modes. work across various teams including tech, retail and partner teams to launch and execute new solutions in supply chain Oversight of all operations metrics and on time delivery of imports into FC Network. Responsibility for managing network cost and working closely with finance to deliver operating plan Develop mechanisms for taking key strategic, tactical and operational trade-offs decisions surfacing elements that include but are not limited to lead time, cost and carbon emissions Develop risk management strategies to ensure the network can operate smoothly during peak periods. Identifying at-risk operations and proactively developing/executing contingency protocols to avoid service failures. Building relationships with key internal stakeholders to deliver end to end operational solutions will be a critical component of the role Managing internal support teams and build processes and tools to enable scalable and flexible operations. Responsibility for Logistics Service Provider Management and ensure partners are efficient, effective, and compliant to amazon operational standards. Communicate operation and program status, risks, and propose resolutions to key stakeholders. Work closely with upstream and downstream teams, as well as other cross functional teams to identify and remove systematical failures to improve the consistency and precision of AGL services. Successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, curious, highly motivated and effective within distributed teams.
