Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic nurses/operating department practitioners to join our friendly and pro-active nursing team. This role would be suitable for qualified nurses with an interest in theatres or qualified operating department practitioners. We are a hardworking department with a strong sense of teamwork, you must be able to show that you are able to work as part of a team as well as function autonomously. You will also need to possess excellent communication skills and show the ability to exercise good clinical judgement. The successful applicant will be either a registered nurse or operating department practitioner experience is not essential as a full competence based training program is available . The successful applicant will be expected participate in the 24 hour, 7 day service offered and be required to partake in a flexible work pattern to meet the needs of the service. We have 6 operating theatres providing acute and elective surgery specialties, including Colorectal, bariatric, upper GI, urology, vascular, trauma and acute general surgery in the specialties listed above.
