THE ROLE The People Generalist role is critical in giving our teams and leaders the support and tools they need in order to be successful in their roles. This role is highly collaborative and results-driven with the ability to juggle multiple competing priorities at once. They are an effective communicator and take pride in providing the highest level of service to our employees. RESPONSIBILITIES * Act as trusted resource for leaders and employees across the region on a wide variety of people topics providing prompt and effective resolutions to second tier employee support on all people related topics, escalating as needed * Partner with the global people team to implement, coordinate and support with regionalisation (where appropriate) global people team policies, processes and programs across areas such as employee engagement, employee relations, onboarding, compensation, benefits & perks and talent management and providing operational support as needed * Implement, coordinate and assists in the creation of new or revised people policies, programs, practices and systems relevant for the region across areas such as employee law, benefits, compensation & perks * Ensure compliance with local labour laws including record keeping, reporting and file management. * Champion Company culture and values through all people-related processes and workflows * Be a key member of the cross-departmental regional people team * Partner the local people team with interviewing, onboarding, workplace, training, development initiatives * Provide back up to the People Coordinator role covering 1st tier employee support with new starter onboarding, maintaining and updating people system data, ad-hoc reports & benefits administration. QUALIFICATIONS * 5+ years of experience as a member on a fast-paced People/HR Team preferably within the hospitality or retail industry * CIPD qualified * Required proficiency, knowledge, and experience in people disciplines including employment law, on-boarding, employee relations, HR systems, compensation, benefits administration, workers compensation, and talent management * Working knowledge of labour laws and regulations in UK & DE * Strong planning, prioritization and project management skills and ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines and capable of meeting established deadlines * Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills - you enjoy and connect well with employees and managers understanding their needs * Effective communication skills - you take pride in providing high levels of service to our employees and managers and have outstanding follow-up ability * Thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly-changing environment and have a figure-it-out approach to all challenges * Knowledge of and experience with HR systems (HRIS, Performance Management) * Ability to travel to German / US depending on company needs * Good understanding of the German language with working knowledge of German law preferable Reports into: People BP - UK & Europe ABOUT PELOTON Founded in 2012, Peloton is an innovative tech company that has transformed the at-home fitness experience by creating products that merge high-design with modern technology to provide at home access to live streaming and on demand fitness classes led by elite instructors.
