Chief Electronics Engineer
Overview
Job Description
Why do job adverts for electronics engineer positions tell you you'll be doing things like Design Calculations, PCB Design, Circuit Simulation and DFMEA's? Isn't that a bit like telling a lorry driver they'll be driving a lorry? Shouldn't a job advert describe what is unique and special about a job? You know, why you might like it, what's in it for you, or why you might leave your current job for this one? Things that will really raise your profile and/or offer great achievements like: * You'll be the most senior electronics engineer in the business * You'll lead the company on a new mission - to develop its' own range of Automotive ECU's * You'll enable them to take their own products to manufacture for the first time * You'll lead efforts (from a technical perspective) to take existing products into new markets * ISO 26262 ASIL-D is the target, so you'll be doing lot's of work here * Building a team around you, developing them individually and collectively * Defining the processes and best practice adopted across the new Electronics Hardware division * Conducting ECU strategy project for a new customer - a global automotive business that needs help to define their product road map This one has all of these, but if you need any more, call me, I might have missed some out. This job is equally suited to someone currently in a senior / principal level electronics engineer role with lots of experience in all of the above, or someone who is currently a Technical Lead / Chief Engineer who just wants a new challenge. If this sounds like it might be the kind of next step you'd like to see in your career, why don't you call me for an informal chat or hit 'Apply', leave your details and I'll call you? There's no obligation for you to commit, and we don't need a CV just yet - that can be dealt with later.
