Job Description

We are currently working with a Beautiful 4-star country house hotel in North Yorkshire. We are currently seeking a passionate commis Chef to join the 1 AA Rosette kitchen team that pride themselves on their accomplishments and food style. The food style utilises the best quality ingredients available cooked using modern techniques receiving awards from the AA guide & the good food guide. The hotel has won numerous awards and is a premier destination for weddings due to the stunning views. The kitchen brigade work 5 days over 7 split shifts with the occasional straight, with this hotel been part of a fantastic group who are working with all sites to introduce a minimum working week of 45 hours paid at an hourly rate + a service charge of around 2,000 per annum. There is Live in accommodation available for the right candidate. Overall, we are looking for a self-motivated forward thinking individual to join this already successful brigade to push for greater success. Candidate Role: Work alongside the team to deliver consistent, great quality dishes Liaise with the senior team to develop the food business as a whole Uphold strict legislation relating to environmental health requirements Participate in daily food preparation and service Ensure kitchen fridges are hygienic and adopt stock rotation systems This is a hands-on role, daily presence on the main line is essential Candidate Specification: Candidates ideally have experience working to a 1 AA Rosette level consistently.
