Marketing Manager (Brentwood) Salary: 45k-50k + Company & Performance Bonus Overview: Location: South East England, based at their Brentwood Head Office, with a direct rail link from Central London. Our client is the automotive product data professionals, supporting OEMs & suppliers in getting their products from drawing board into production faster and more efficiently. As a business their growth has occurred organically, through growth within clients or via word of mouth referrals from existing clients to new one. As such, historically they haven't undertaken large amounts of marketing activity. As demand for their services expand beyond their traditional geographies and they continue to grow as a business they recognise the importance of developing a strong marketing function. They are now looking for the right candidate to join the team and establish this effective Marketing function. The Job Role: The role will develop as our needs will evolve, but there are a number of activities that would be taken on immediately upon starting which include: * Website management and updating * Prospect research and maintaining CRM and customer data * Thought leadership pieces * News pieces (new project, completed project, new developments etc) * Searches for appropriate advertised opportunities * Case studies and getting testimonials & putting them out there * Client entertainment days and Social media oversight * Supporting tenders & RFP responses In time we would hope to develop the following: * Intelligently segmented mailing lists * Regular key news updates on clients for the whole QR team * Seminars for clients and seminars / training for product data professionals * CRM implementation Location & Reporting This role would report into one of the Directors on the board. In terms of location, they are anticipating this will be at their Head Office in Brentwood, Essex, but they also have offices in Warwick, Cologne, Munich, Detroit and Melbourne and are open to other options for the right candidate. What they are looking for They're looking for someone who is as passionate about marketing as they are about product data and will be looking for evidence of the following: * Enthusiasm and energy, working proactively to deliver a highly competent marketing function. * Excellent written and spoken communication skills, preferably competent with graphical & video media. * Experience running marketing for a small business, preferably a global services business. The ideal candidate will have: * Extensive Marketing experience ideally within a professional services sector or automotive. * Marketing related degree and CIM membership. * Outstanding analytical and data interrogation skills; * A proven track record of successful process development; * Problem-solving and strategic planning ability; * Strong knowledge of project management and change management methodologies; * Creative flair and the ability to innovate; * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - the right candidate will need to manage the expectations of stakeholders and clients, gaining the trust and confidence of all parties; * Willing to travel within the UK and internationally; Key phrases: Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing , Global Marketing, Automotive, Product Development , Brentwood, London, South East
