This role is to cover the wards at Weston and a dispensary slot at Callington Road We are looking for a motivated Medicines Management Technician with excellent communication skills to join the Pharmacy team. We are seeking a individual who is enthusiastic about improving the lives of those living with mental health issues. You must be able to perform general pharmaceutical duties under the supervision of a Section Manager (or deputy) and/or Pharmacist, in line with current policies and procedures You will be required to undertake a weekly session in the dispensary at Callington Road to provide technical support as an accredited checking technician. For the clinical aspect of this role you will be working closely with experienced locality lead pharmacists and you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive medicines management service to a variety of AWP inpatient units and community teams in the Bristol area. The AWP pharmacy service supplies medication and provides clinical support to wards and teams across our core catchment area. We have two dispensaries: the main department in Calne (Wiltshire) and a smaller dispensary at Callington Road Hospital (Bristol). As well as managing the medicines supply chain in the trust, we support the safe and effective use of medicines throughout the organisation through our clinical work, enquiry answering, medicines governance activity and many other roles. We will consider part time hours/job share We operate a weekend and bank holiday pharmacy service from the Callington road dispensary. This is currently 1 in 10.
