PGMBM (formerly SPG Law) is a global law firm/start-up with nearly $50 million in litigation funding to date. We are a unique partnership between British, Brazilian and American lawyers, passionate about championing justice for the victims of wrongdoing by big corporations. We have a particular expertise in environmental pollution claims originating in Brazil, handling claims arising from the collapse of the Fundo Dam, the largest environmental disaster in the history of Brazil and one of the biggest legal claims ever filed in a British court, as well as several other significant product liability breaches.. We are at the cutting-edge of UK consumer claims, representing thousands of affected consumers throughout the UK and the world. These claims are against Volkswagen, British Airways, Bayer, A.G., and other major multinational corporations. The Role: PGMBM is looking for a Chief Technology Officer to own all things tech related for the business and drive our vision of becoming the most technologically innovative law firm in the UK and globally. You will have a hefty budget to implement the best solutions on the market to create a seamless experience for the 500k + clients and across internal operations in both the UK and Brasil. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our companys technologies are used appropriately. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. We expect you to be well-versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concepts. This is a unique opportunity for a senior tech leader to be instrumental in shaping the most innovative law firm with groundbreaking trends and technology. You are someone who is as passionate about creating and implementing the newest solutions as you are writing code and leading tech teams. What youll be responsible for: * Create business value through technology * Strategic planning of business growth objectives * Ensure tech systems and procedures lead to outcomes in line with business goals * Oversee the development of customer service platforms * Manage IT and development teams (UK & Brasil) * Approve vendor negotiations and IT architecture * Information risk management (IRM) * Establish IT policies, strategies, and standards * Develop and approve technology futures and budgets Requirements * Proven experience as a CTO or similar leadership role * Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy * Knowledge of (and/or) experience with Salesforce (which new Litify CSM tool is based on) * Experience with privacy regulations (eg GDPR) via various technologies. * Understanding of budgets and business-planning * Ability to conduct technological analyses and research * Excellent communication skills * Leadership and organizational abilities * Strategic thinking * Problem-solving aptitude * BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus Benefits * Competitive salary + generous bonus
