This role is responsible for leading design and execution efforts, customising analytics and market research methodologies to deliver strategic customer insights and drive improved decision-making in UK & Ireland, supporting a portfolio of both in-line and pre-launch brands. When required, be responsible for using analytics tools including decision science, business performance reporting, and forecasting to answer key business questions in UK & Ireland. Supports the Associate Director of Market Research & Analytics as well as collaborates with other Major Market and WW BI&A counterparts to holistically provide strategic input for business stakeholders and support the development of the integrated insights plan Key Responsibilities and Major Duties * Provides leadership for primary Market Research efforts, developing and deploying innovative market research techniques that reflect best practices, in order to develop key strategic customer insights and drive superior decision-making * Accurately assesses market landscape / business issues faced by brand or therapeutic area and develops the appropriate market research design to address them, providing superior analysis and reasoned solutions * Synthesizes data from multiple sources to bring added value to research studies or analytical projects (i.e., Resource Allocation, Key Driver Analysis, In-line Forecasting), then draws and communicates customer insights in a business-oriented, concise and meaningful way to be delivered to the commercialization teams. * Helps guide brand team to develop, frame and prioritise strategic key business questions * Analyses need for primary research activities and secondary data needs and scope, based on all existing research, resources and knowledge base within BMS * Applies and uses best practices for conducting primary research to help shape product strategy. Integrates findings from primary research and syndicated market research studies and reports at the therapeutic area level to generate deep insights * Designs and implements analytics, performance management reporting, and forecasting for planned and ad-hoc needs * Translates insights into actionable recommendations for the commercialization teams * Continuously assesses current and new vendor capabilities and expertise by TA/channel * Supports the Associate Director of Market Research & Analytics in being the primary point of contact for market research and insights needs * Works with vendors to obtain and analyse therapeutic / industry-related research * Liaises with Brand team to ensure all market research insights are incorporated into broader brand strategy * Works closely with analytics teams to develop and maintain analytical tools that drive strategic insights including evaluation of primary and secondary data sources and emerging methodologies * Builds relationships and effectively provides strategic input for all senior management stakeholders (BUDs, Marketing, Sales, Medical, Strategy and Operations and Finance) * Contributes to the development and deployment of innovative BI&A approaches, therapeutic area learnings and best practices within the global BI&A structure * Liaises with Worldwide, other geographies and functional teams for efficient sharing and strategic adoption of learnings and capabilities (Disclaimer: The responsibilities listed above are only a summary and other responsibilities will be requirements as assigned) Bristol-Myers Squibb recognizes the importance of balance and flexibility in our work environment.
