Job Description

Role Overview Close Brothers Asset Management are currently undertaking a significant project of change across their discretionary investment management service. The project provides a great opportunity to build a front office system to allow investment managers to continue to grow our investment business in a more scalable way, attract new Investment Managers and their clients whilst supporting the investment process. The project can thus facilitate the linkage of these components in a way that allows CBAM to scale more effectively with agreed risk controls. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role working across the project with the main focus centred on the coordination, support and management of the User/Business acceptance phases of testing. The candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the UAT phase of testing, working closely with end users and key stakeholders to define and execute robust testing approaches to confirm and validate the quality of the software being developed. The successful candidate will also be responsible for identifying and building tests to continuously enhance and improve the regression testing pack for the application(s). Building strong relationships with our internal clients (users) is critical to the success of the role, and previous experience in a UAT function within the Asset Management/Wealth Management sector is highly desirable. The successful candidate should have a working knowledge of test automation and automation frameworks with a knowledge of the HP product UFT (Unified functional testing) being highly desirable. You will thrive in an environment where we work to challenging/changing timelines whilst demonstrating the system has met the functional & non-functional requirements and that delivered solution has met the requirements of the user, with regression packs built and automated for future developments. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and maintaining test strategies & plans * Provide feedback to the development teams via a structured defect management process * Estimate the test effort required and quantify the elapsed effort on test deliverables & phases * Engage with the business analysis team to ensure all requirements can translate to testable statements via a traceability matrix * Build strong relationships with business users to act as the key interface between the users, development teams and project teams * Prepare and execute manual test scripts for; System Testing, User Acceptance Testing, Regression Testing, Business Process Proving & Model Office * Creation of manual test cases for UAT * Creation of manual regression test cases to be used for automated regression testing * Coordination of User Acceptance phase with end users * Identification of areas of automation * Execute continuous testing and upgrades * Complete traceability of requirements to test cases, and issue management * Liaise with suppliers, teams and team leaders
