Description Title: Transfer Pricing and International Tax Assistant Manager /Manager Reports to: Partners & Directors Working with: Colleagues across the firm Job type: Permanent Location: 16 Great Queen Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2B 5AH Summary With a client base and tax advisory work to rival Big 4 firms, Blick Rothenberg is seeking a new Transfer Pricing and international tax assistant manager / manager to complement the growing team. This will appeal to someone who has strong technical skills, practical transfer pricing experience and broad tax advisory skills. Job Description Reporting to the Partners and Directors, your clients will include US and EMEA multinational companies, including listed, privately owned and mid Cap businesses. You will be involved in challenging and interesting work involving the following: * Multi-territory transfer pricing studies, including benchmarking; * International tax projects including but not limited to anti-hybrid reviews, off-shore receipts in respect of Intangible Property, Permanent Establishment reviews, tax treaty advice and advising inbound companies on the most appropriate structure for their UK operations; * M&A work including tax efficient structuring and due diligence on UK domestic and international transactions; * Corporate reorganisations including demergers and reconstructions; * Corporate tax compliance and reporting experience is desirable but not essential. It is essential that you are comfortable communicating in a concise and timely fashion both internally with colleagues and externally with clients. People are at the heart of our business and a successful candidate will demonstrate strong personal skills and act as a mentor and role model for more junior team members, encouraging and ensuring retention and development of staff. Although the role is UK corporate tax focused and the successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of UK corporation tax, an understanding of key international tax principals is also desirable, such as US Check-the box elections, entity classification and treaty interpretation. Other Responsibilities * Responsibility for delivery of high-quality, proactive tax advisory and Transfer Pricing services to a diverse client base on a wide range of matters * Ownership of client relationships, from initial contact through to delivery of advice and billing. * Supervision and mentoring of junior team * There is also the opportunity for the successful candidate to contribute to areas such as Marketing, PR, writing technical articles for trade/press publications, presenting at technical client and intermediary seminars and webinars, as well as attending and hosting networking events. Requirements You will be ACA/CTA/ADIT qualified, and qualified by experience in transfer pricing ideally working with US inbounds, preferably gained from a UK Big 4 or Top 10 environment. A comprehensive understanding of UK corporation tax is required. Blick Rothenberg prides itself on delivery of high-quality advice and of strong relationships with its clients.
