QS has grown both organically and through acquisition; and through carefully targeted recruitment of top talent across key regions. The Role: QS is currently hiring a for a Senior/Lead Analyst to join the team in the QS Intelligence Unit. The role will lead a small team of analysts, producing our catalogue of university rankings, evaluation activities and a range of other analytical outputs on trends in international higher education. It will also be a key contributor to evaluation activities and the development of new quality standards in the international higher education. The role requires expert analysis capability - the ability to delve into data and turn it in to meaningful and high-impact insights. You will have well developed experience in visualizing data and be skilled in using a range of tools to build well designed data visualizations. You will also be a great communicator, being able to use the insights you develop to draw out the stories and tell those to a range of audiences. The role requires experience in line-managing other analysts and will take a key role in helping to further develop the team and to ensure the team is operating effectively and efficiently. The Requirements: * A track record of leading, inspiring and upskilling small analytical team * Ability to not only critique analysis in a supportive way, but also to anticipate analytical issues that others might encounter and communicate those to key stakeholders * Experience in engaging technical and non-technical senior stakeholders and advisors to ensure they have buy-in into ways of working and opportunities to feedback on any new approaches * Strong communication skills - being able to effectively communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences * The ability to be impartial and delineate between evidence and assumptions * A natural approach of seeking feedback from a range of stakeholders and ability to demonstrate that feedback is being responded to effectively * Excellent skills in utilising Excel and other software to analyse data * Great data visualisation skills using Tableau (or an equivalent data-visualisation package) and demonstrable ability to provide high quality data visualizations * Experience working with R, Python or an equivalent programming/data science language * An understanding the types of data used for performance evaluation in international higher education * Ability to travel internationally from time to time
