Accommodation incentive applicable to this post. Come join our Medical Short Stay Unit ! MSSU is the medical short stay unit at Barnet Hospital where there are opportunities for band 5 experienced and novice nurses. As part of our dymanic team you will deliver world class care to patients with acute medical conditions in the first 72 hours of their hospital stay. You will receive development and support from a senior nursing team consisting of a Unit Lead supported by two Band 7s and the Clinical Practice Educator. We have recently had our in house medical nurse course accredited, and offer a Preceptorship Programme for newly qualified nurses. The trust has a strong emphasis on staff support and development. We have large SHORT STAY UNIT on the Barnet Hospital site and this is where acutely unwell adults are admitted from the Emergency Department for continued assessment, treatment and stabilisation. Within these wards are 'high' bays where patients receive closer monitoring and care. As part of an exciting new initiative, the trust is offering financial support for those who need to relocate to take up particular roles at Barnet Hospital.
