Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our coding team at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking for a Clinical Coding Team Leader to assist with the supervision of the clinical coding team. You will supervise the coding team to achieve an efficient and responsive clinical coding service. The post holder will assist the Deputy Head of Coding as directed to include issues associated with clinical coding, including the achievement of targets with respect to timeliness, completeness, accuracy and depth of coding within deadlines. The successful candidate is required to be able demonstrate the Trust values, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification. In particular you should have proven extensive clinical coding experience, hold the NCCQ and be able to code a wide range of specialties. You will have excellent communication skills, being able to communicate complex coding issues to coding and non-coding staff. You must be able to demonstrate management skills, have a flexible approach to work, be able to manage workload and work as part of a team to tight deadlines.
