Job Description
An exciting opportunity has become available to join Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust undertaking the role of Management Accountant within the Management Accounts team . The Management Accounts function is organised to support frontline Services across the Trust ensuring support to our Care Groups covering Wirral, Western Cheshire and Central and Eastern Cheshire as well as providing a service to our corporate teams. This role will be based in Chester with a need to travel across the Trust's footprint as necessary to undertake the role. Reporting to a Business and Value Partner the post holder will have responsibility for a range of budgets covering monthly management accounts reporting, budget setting, budgetary control, forecasting, provide support for service developments both internal and external to the trust as well as supporting all relevant Budget Holders, within prescribed timescales. The post holder will be required to find the most effective way of aligning themselves with the trust's services to ensure financial opportunities are supported and all financial risks are understood and managed effectively. The post holder will act with a degree of autonomy in this objective. Alongside ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided to support our frontline clinical and operational staff another key element of the role is to manage and develop the staff working within the Management Accounts function. The post holder will also support and at times deputise for the Business and Value Partner to ensure a full and comprehensive management accounts service to the organisation. This is a full time post and the contracted hours are 37.5 hours per week. The successful applicant may be required to display a degree of flexibility in their weekly working pattern due to the variable needs of the post which will include spending time away from the finance office working alongside our clinical and or corporate services.
