Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a growing business based in the Chester area. This company is currently recruiting for an ambitious Part-Qualified Accountant to join the finance team as Assistant Management Accountant / Finance Analyst. This is a new vacancy that has arisen due to rapid growth and recent acquisitions. Reporting to the Finance Controller your role will assist in reporting on the recent acquisitions and organic growth achieved within the organisation. Your responsibilities will be built around assisting in the management and control of the reporting entities, financial and tax reporting, with a key focus on developing and improving timely and insightful Management Information and analysis. As Assistant Management Accountant your role will involve: Assisting with preparation of monthly results and reporting to HQ Performing month end adjustments and reconciliations Variance investigation and reporting Banking reconciliations Preparation of accruals and prepayments Preparation of intercompany recharges and reconciliation Support for forecast and budget process Support for HMRC reporting: VAT returns, EC Sales and Intrastat To apply for the role you must have: Strong academic results and studying towards a financial qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) Proven track record of producing MI High proficiency in MS Excel along with other Microsoft Office software Highly numerate and analytical Strong people focus, able to communicate with all levels Able to translate financials into an understandable business context This is an excellent position for someone with career ambitions of becoming a qualified accountant and develop into Business Partner as the company grows
