117093BR Job Title: Head of IT, Trading Compliance No. of Positions: 1 Job Description: A new position has been created within Shell Trading, the world's largest energy trading organisation, which will lead the IT function for compliance. Trading and Supply (T&S) operates one of the largest energy trading operations in the world. Through our main trading offices in London, Houston Singapore, Dubai and Rotterdam we trade crude oil, natural gas, LNG, electricity, refined products, chemical feedstocks and environmental products. With more than 125 distribution terminals and hundreds of outside supply points in around 25 countries, our supply and distribution infrastructure is well positioned to make deliveries around the world. The role As Head of IT, Trading Compliance you will be responsible for identifying and delivering value to the business through the implementation of innovative new IT solutions and harvesting of existing IT assets to enable the achievement of the business Trading Compliance strategy, value drivers and KPIs. The key focus areas of the role are: Relationship Management: Drives a one-tOne Team mindset; works closely with business commercial teams to influence how IT, functions and the business commercial teams can align strategic success goals., challenging the business to deliver value Leads the natural IT team in IT and aligns internal and external IT partners to ensure all are operating with a collective commercial mindset and driving measurable value. Business Intelligence: Have a deep understanding of the Business and Industry landscape, delivers thought leadership and contributes to business decisions through strong relationships in Trading Compliance Integrated IT and Business Strategy: Shapes the business and IT Trading Compliance IT strategy to ensure a contribution to the business top and bottom line through operational improvements, exploiting the existing IT landscape and identifying opportunities to grow and transform the capability of the Compliance function. IT Portfolio Management: Leads the demand side of IT governance in partnership with the business and communicates high-level business requirements to IT functional groups in order to deliver agreed business outcomes. Value Generation: Ensures the delivery of value outcomes by: Applying investment discipline to IT expenditures; ensuring business changes are embedded and the business case benefits are realized. Location and travel The role will be based in our UK HQ, Shell Centre, Waterloo. Occasional travel may be required to Houston, Bangalore or Singapore (2-4 times per year). Flexibility We are open to applicants who require reduced hours (no less that 80% or 4 days per week). The role does require you to be office based.
