CREATIVE COPYWRITER Can you turn a blank sheet of paper into an award-winning campaign? Can you bounce ideas around with an Art Director and make sure you both emerge buzzing and itching to get going? Can you write effective headlines that fizzle and zing? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want you to get in touch and show us your stuff. We're looking for a big-picture-thinking, craft-obsessed copywriting ninja to join our award-winning creative department at W20. About you You should have a natural flair for writing fresh and creative headlines to pull the reader in by their lapels and tickle them into submission. We make adverts for health-care organisations, so it'll be good if you have experience in the health industry but not a deal breaker if you don't. What's most important is that you're not afraid of an intellectual challenge. At times you'll need to stare into the soul of beastly, knotted problems, extract their emotional heart, and serve them up in a pithy platter - if you work up a mental sweat, your audience won't have to. Your portfolio should include awesome campaign ideas that push creative boundaries as well as examples of long and short copy, including a sprinkling of writing for print, social, online, broadcast and/or interactive media. You should be an adept creative writer with experience at award-winning agencies. You'll need to take part in brainstorming sessions and should be comfortable in front of clients as you might have to present and contribute at client meetings. You'll be a square for grammatical pedantry but an odd-angle thinker when it comes to concepting. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE * Strong portfolio showcasing conceptual innovation and strategic creative thinking * Proven ability to manage multiple creative projects from strategy through concept and production * Strong understanding of content strategy and publishing for social media * Top-notch communication, organisation and time-management skills * A degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications, life-sciences or a related field * A keen enthusiasm for and basic understanding of web trends and technologies * A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles * Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail * An understanding of interplay between copy and visual elements * Mac OS X, MS Office and Adobe publishing products WHAT WE CAN OFFER We are unique because we can offer the opportunity to do the best work you will ever do, for a client that will change the medical landscape.
