Post: (Band 6) Occupational Therapist Base: Cygnet Yew Trees Responsible for: The post holder will provide occupational therapy for 10 female patients who have learning disabilities in a hospital setting. They will also line manage an Activity Coordinator Responsible to: Hospital Manager, Regional Director of Occupational Therapy (Site) Clinical supervision will be provided by the Highly Specialist OT (Band 7) from Thors Park Hospital, Colchester, who will provide support on and off site. A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Team at Cygnet Hospital Yew Trees. Cygnet Yew Trees is a learning disabilities service for women with complex needs, and additional mental/physical health and may include those being detained under the Mental Health Act. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide direct clinical care which will encompass OT assessments, treatment and management of patients within the service. In this role you will assess, implement and develop an OT treatment programme according to service user's diagnosis and identified needs. This will be based upon findings from assessments including associated risks, in order to develop treatment plans accordingly. Prioritisation skills are key to manage the caseload of clients effectively and you will work closely with the multidisciplinary team onsite.
