Providing an efficient 'right first time' repairs and maintenance services to our properties is one of our top priorities. We're recruiting for an electrician contractually based in Basingstoke. However the role will cover North Hampshire so a fair amount of your time will be spent on the road. We'll provide you with a van & fuel card for your business travel so you'll not be out of pocket. This is a full time, permanent position working 39 hours per week. You'll also participate on the emergency on-call rota. As part of the on-call rota, you'll be paid at very competitive rates to enhance your earnings! As an electrician, you'll carry out electrical repairs, testing and installations to our domestic and commercial properties. You'll make sure you work in line with all current IEE Electrical Regulations whilst maintaining high health & safety standards. You'll fault find on circuits and appliances, carry out cyclical P.A.T testing and other electrical testing. You'll also assist other teams to complete works if needed. You'll need to have City & Guilds 2330 and 18th edition wiring regulations as a minimum. We'd really like you to have 2391/4/5 (inspect & test) or equivalent too. Proof of your qualifications will need to be provided at interview stage. Please highlight on your application if you're working towards the test & inspect qualification, should you not yet have it. You'll be able to demonstrate good all-round electrical skills including testing and fault finding. Experience working in domestic properties and/or for social housing would be a huge advantage! You'll also need a full, clean, current driving licence (held for a minimum of 1 year) so you can drive a company van.
