Job Description

This is a pivotal role for the EU Marketing Team with high visibility to senior leadership. We aim to deliver the most relevant promotions to every customer, at the right time, and within the right context, driving customer curiosity and delight, and promotion discovery. We strive to develop Customer Experiences (CX) for Deals and Coupons that create a year-round opportunity for customers to Embrace Amazon and Engage with its offers and services, thereby enabling their migration through the customer lifecycle stages. In addition, we influence the development of Selling Partner platforms to spin the flywheel (more sales, better search ranking, new customers, more reviews), and supporting Selling Partners to deploy the best-fit promotion mechanic for their offer to our customers. As Head of Deals & Events Europe you will drive the strategy of Managed Promotions (Deals & Coupons) in Europe. You are the face of the program, driving alignment with EU Retail and 3P leadership, Marketing Leads, and WW Deals/Promotions/Events leadership on business goals, event plans, and prioritization of projects. Reporting to the Head of Channel Marketing Europe, you will lead a group of Product Managers developing and continuously improving our marketing mechanics, the customer experience and our tools and processes to run everyday Deals and Coupons and events like Prime Day, Black Friday & Cyber Monday. You balance business expertise and product domain knowledge with technical understanding. You collaborate with business, operational and technical teams to drive innovation and experimentation, as well as business goals, reporting, and the right mechanisms to measure status and success. As Head of Deals & Events Europe you will work closely with the team of Deal Managers, the Marketing Leads for the EU marketplaces. You and your team will be responsible for conceptualizing, testing, executing and continually improving scalable mechanics that drive customer engagement with Deals and Coupons across EU marketplaces. Through strong data driven customer insight, and passionate ownership, you will maximize impact and efficiency of this exciting growth area, with significant impact for the overall business. The Head of Deals & Events Europe (f/m) could be based in our corporate offices in London, Munich, or Luxembourg. Role responsibilities: Own the development of a Pan-EU strategy for Managed Promotions and test new consumer marketing initiatives. Grow the Deals & Events business against challenging revenue and customer engagement goals. Drive alignment with EU Retail and 3P leadership, Marketing Leads, and WW Deals/Promotions/Events leadership Understand and assess opportunities (e.g., opportunity size, appeal, differentiation) in order to proactively determine how to best drive customer engagement and business impact Manage, analyze, improve, and scale mechanics to drive engagement with Deals and Coupons across our EU marketplaces. Collaborate with international counterparts, foster global best practice exchange. Provide strategic and tactical leadership to Deal Managers in multiple business teams. Report on progress against goals and relevant metrics to senior management.
