Job Description

Specialist Bereavement Midwife - Permanent (Band 6) Maternity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a flexible, motivated and empathetic person to join the Maternity Bereavement Team at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading. 37.5 hours a week - This will comprise of 26 hours in the Maternity Bereavement team and 11.5 hours in the intrapartum area. Part-time hours of 26 hours solely within the bereavement team (with no additional intrapartum shift), will also be considered. The post holder being required to work flexibly in the Bereavement team within a Monday-Friday 0800-1800 timeframe, excluding bank holidays and weekends. If the postholder is contracted to work 11.5 hours per week in the intrapartum area then this will be rostered to fit around the Bereavement service. The successful applicant will work within a small, friendly dedicated team to offer compassionate care to families following the loss of a baby.
