IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease) - Gastroenterology An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 IBD Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the IBD Nursing Team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As an IBD CNS you will already have demonstrated an interest in IBD and in moving into a specialist team. We are looking to recruit nurses with a passion to provide support and care to patients with IBD, especially with regards to their ongoing treatments, including Biological Therapies. You will be supervised, supported by and work closely with the Lead IBD Nurse Specialist and the current Band 6 IBD CNS and our medical clinicians in providing information, care and support to patients with IBD from diagnosis and throughout their treatment including periods of remission. You will demonstrate a willingness to enhance your skills and knowledge to support the IBD Nursing Service and the vision and enthusiasm to make a major contribution to the further development of the specialist nursing service for the benefit of our patients. The Gastroenterology Department at NNUH provides an excellent range of services delivered by our dedicated multidisciplinary team of clinicians, nurses and administrative personnel to the population of Norfolk. The Gastroenterology Team work with a wide spectrum of patients including those who have IBD, Liver problems, Nutrition concerns, Substance Misuse and GI Cancers. Why NNUH? To provide a comprehensive service for patients within the specialist area of care. To provide direct patient care and support in helping improve quality of life by educating the patient on the management and control of symptoms and offering support following diagnosis. To be a resource for other health professionals. To work with all members of the Gastroenterology Department IBD clinical team within the multidisciplinary framework and maintain a high standard of patient care under the direction of the Lead IBD Nurse Specialist.
