Job Description

What's involved? You will be outdoors, located on site of a fundraising sport event for Alzheimer's Society where you will encourage participants who have chosen to take part. You will use your voice and cheer materials to show your support for participants and thank them for choosing to raise money for Alzheimer's Society. About you: You will have high energy, enthusiasm and a positive attitude. You will be able to volunteer effectively and confidently within a team as well as individually and be passionate about contributing to the fight against dementia. The impact you'll make: You'll show support by cheering on participants throughout the duration of sports events, encouraging them to reach the finish line and ensuring they have an amazing experience. Your enthusiasm and energy will motivate participants to reach and exceed their fundraising targets, helping fund the vital work of Alzheimer Society's to support those affected by dementia. What you need to know: We need to ensure that people living with dementia who benefit from our services are safe. In order for us to do this we interview, check and train our volunteers in on-going roles. If you have accessibility need we'll make reasonable adjustments to enable you to volunteer.
