We are recruiting a talented Java Team Lead for a software client in central London . Within the software division, our global Development Team is looking for a Team Lead, Software Development to join us in London. This is an opportunity to head up a highly skilled Agile team tackling complex and challenging product integrations. It’s a chance to be both hands-on as a Senior Developer, and, hone your people management skills, mentoring, and coaching the team. Either way, you are a Senior Developer who wants to make a difference directly on a product and on day-to-day operations. You have experience using Java 8 and Spring Framework, and you want to stay hands-on while leading a local and offshore team. You have a commitment to high quality along with speedy delivery. You want to own and dive into the coding structure; the planning; and to identify the technical approach to successfully add and enhance the data flows and integrations between products. You will manage and lead daily standups, assigning work, and prioritizing deliverables. You will work side-by-side with the team conducting peer reviews, enhancing and building out features and integrations. Plan. You will play a vital role in the sprint planning session. You will conduct daily, stand ups, retrospectives and demonstrations. Communicate. You will meet with the Director to provide regular updates on the progress of the team’s deliverables and to discuss the broader operating functions and issues within the team. Manage the team. You will be approachable and involved with the day-to-day accomplishments of your team. You will conduct formal and informal one-to-ones, performance reviews, and ratings for your team. You will help set individual objectives and assist with setting career paths and professional development. How do we know you are the new Team Lead, you have: The experience. You are a Senior Developer with hands-on technical expertise in Java 8, Spring Framework, Jenkins, Github, and MongoDB. You have led a team, informally or formally, and you know how to motivate, mentor, and guide the work of individuals at any level. The passion for Agile. You may be a scrum master and can instill your enthusiasm for using this methodology in your team. T he communication skills. You can build relationships with cross-functional teams, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing across different locales and time zones. You can confidently and effectively relay information verbally or in written form to senior leadership, BAs and Developers. The drive.
