Job Description
Senior Clinical Psychologist in Pre-School Autism Assessment - Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust Location: Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital (BNHH) Role Description: * An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our highly valued Early Years autism assessment team in child health, on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave for a period of up to 12 months. The post is a 0.4 wte, part-time post for 2 days per week. * We are a small, friendly, multi-disciplinary team providing high quality assessments of children referred with social communication difficulties. * The MDT team is made up of; a clinical psychologist, a speech and language therapist, a child development practitioner, Consultant Community Paediatricians and Associate Specialists in Paediatrics. * Psychologists working within the team are valued for their expertise in offering psychological assessments, integrative psychological formulations, working with complex cases and offering consultation and supervision; as well as acting as a senior member of the team at MDT meetings. What we look for: * The post holder will need previous clinical experience of completing Autism assessments with children using the ADOS-2 and other standardised assessment tools. Who we are: As a hospital-based service, the wider psychology team consists of six clinical psychologists providing a service to both Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital and the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester. In joining the autism assessment team you will be part of the wider team of clinical psychologists working in paediatrics, who meet on a regular basis for CPD and networking. We are a dynamic and friendly service who value patient-centred care. We have good links with the D. Clin course at the University of Southampton, whose trainees come on placement with the psychology team.
